Need Major Suggestions Please! Essential Oil/ Fragrance Oil

I made my first batch of CB Advanced Soy Wax Container Candles in 16oz, 5 oz, and 32oz jars. All of the sizes came out with a very faint scent throw. No matter what concentration (only went up to 2oz)of scent I mixed in them with Zybar additive. I was pouring them after a cool down at 150 degrees. I bought the fragrance oil from candleandsupplies.com. When I received the fragrance oil, it seemed watered down. Now I am out a lot of money with little time to get my product to the retailers waiting for them. I need to find a website who is legitimate and sales a very strong (not watered down) fragrance oil to use in the rest of my soy wax candles. Also, does anyone know if "I double up" on the watered down fragrance, would I acquire a desired result? My wicks are wooden and I bought a spool of hemp wicks as well. The candles I have made seem to burn quite well but little to no scent. Help Please!

Melissa
The Steele Candle Co.

Hi New here!

Hello,
I am new to the board and wanting to learn to make candles. I have fallen in love with the cake candles, loaves, pies and cupcakes!
Your site is awesome! and loaded with information on making candles. You did a SUPER job!
I am so happy to have found it!!
a couple questions, if I don't have a roaster could I use a crock pot?
Do some people use just a pot?
with a thermometer?
I'm sure the candles I mentioned are for more experienced candlers but one day!!!!

Also where are some good places to get soy wax. I really like that myself, clean buring, no mess, my tarts always clean so much better than reg. wax.
There is a lady by us who has candle making supplies, would it be best to go there first versus buying online?

Thanks so much!!!
Take care everyone!
Angela
mulled cider/ raspberry for soy

Hi, I am looking for recommendatons for a strong mulled cider that I can use in gw464. I want to start burn testing for a few fall fragrances, and being so new, I dont know where to go for a great frag in soy wax.
I am also looking for a RASBberry fragrance similar to HOME INTERIORS raspberry fizz candle. I tried one from peak candle, but it def wasnt what I wanted. home interiors raspberry fizz smell just like a blackraspberry pie baking! It was my favorite, but has been discontinued and I would like to make something similar to it. Thanks all, Natalie
Hello,
I am very new to making candles. I am wanting to make candle tarts, but not for sure which type of wax to go with. I have read about so many different ones. Not for sure which wax holds the best scent when the fragrances are added. I want the throw throughout the room. Does anyone have any suggestions? What do you think about the Golden Brands 464? Please help!
Thanks
Hi,
I am interested in making novelty candles for baby showers, etc... What is the best wax to use with silicone mold. I also would like to know how do you color the candles/ For instance, I saw a picture of a 3-tier wedding cake and the little slowers were colored. It looked like they were hand painted, are they? How do they get that shinny gloss? I have attached a picture of what i am talking about.
fragrance oil seepage

Some of the pillar candles I make will seep fragrance oil for several days after being removed from the mold. This is messy because the dye in the candle seeps out as well. This does not happen with all of the pillars I make.

Does anyone know how to stop the seepage?

Thanks
